“My dream vacation!” Last February myself and two friends ventured to Oaxaca for a week long horseback riding excursion. There is nothing I did not love about the entire week starting with our lovely and gracious hosts, MaryJane and Bobby. MaryJane has lived in Oaxaca for well over 20 years and is a wealth of knowledge about the food, culture, artisans and the backcountry riding. Bobby has trained horses his entire adult life and riding the horses he has trained is truly a wonderful experience. Their ranch is new and delightful. The food was fantastic. I would happily spend another week riding with MaryJane and Bobby and hope to do just that next year!!

I searched for a farm with strong, well trained and cared for horses. I found very caring and competent owners and wonderful horses. I spent a day riding up trails on the mountain, through blooming cactus and scrub bush, then an afternoon trail through wild cane beside the river, passing dairy and alfalfa farms. I highly recommend this farm because of the quality of the horses, and the fact that the owners have a family history of training horses. And they are very nice people who speak Spanish and English. This would be a good place to learn to ride as well as a great place for competent riders. Can't wait to do a several day trek. hope they save Piquin for me!
