On one of our equestrian vacations, veteran rider Lindsay Norris got to know this little stallion. “I have been riding for 40 years and had ridden stallions in arenas and in the show ring but had never ridden one on the trail so I was excited when Mary Jane offered to let me ride Chocolate. I can honestly say that I never feel fear when riding but I was wondering how the stallion would react when encountering mares. Chocolate was gentle and honest and a joy to ride, I always feltĀ I was in control even when we passed by mares along the trail. He had very good manners when I was on the ground or when we stopped for a rest along the trail or in town.”

Chocolate is comfortable at all gaits: walks big with a sexy swagger, has a perfect balanced trot and a touring canter you can sit & enjoy.

This 10 year-old metallic paint has enjoyed several 25-mile endurance rides, a challenging 5-day trek in the Sierra Juarez and he & Arnulfo Mendoza recently recued the mayor of Teotitlan who had collapsed during a boundary-clearing work party in a remote part of the Teotitlan’s mountains.
