Guided Horse Rides

Oaxaca holds among the world’s greatest biodiversity and the Valle de Tlacolula is home to many species of cacti, agaves and native copal.

Many people find a gentle, guided horse ride very relaxing. What is certain is that a horse takes us places that only the very fit can reach as easily.

Discover this hidden niche of exotica on well-maintained trails. Take in the big vistas! Marvel at the massive organ cacti! Learn about the native agaves along the trail!

Guided trail rides are a perfect family experience.

Tuesday – Saturday 10 -11.30 a.m.: Guided horse ride 

No experience required.

Private groups only. 500 pesos per person. Special family rate of 1,500 pesos for 4 persons.  Limited to 5. Minimum of 2.

Private Equitation Classes: 1.5 hour class includes: groundwork with the horse, basic equation and on-trail / open-country safe riding. For ages 7 and up.                          Private class 750 pesos / Semi-private 1,000 pesos

What to wear: long pants, above ankle socks, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and preferably a light long sleeve shirt.

What to bring: face mask ( must be worn until the ride is underway where safe distance is assured ), water and any personal medication.
