Mambo & Gabriel in street parade
My name is Gabriel Mendoza Gagnier, I’m sixteen and have been riding for about 9 years. I have this beautiful, big horse called Mambo (like the dance).
He’s 19 years old and in great shape, in fact when we first got him we thought he was much younger. He’s a horse that I trust, love and care for.
This horse is like my best friend because he helped me get over my fear of riding. About 6 years ago I fell off a horse and was too scared to get on a horse again. But this gentle horse gave me a really good vibe so I got on Mambo and started riding again. Now thanks to that horse I have my confidence back in riding.
Last year I went on a horse trek with my mom &qmp; dad and our friend Shoshana into the Sierra Juarez for 5 days of exploring. I rode Mambo and he proved not only his strength but also to have a very precise step. We rode approximately 18 miles a day going from village to village, almost always up and down steep narrow trails and along some rough roads. Mambo showed his skills, was always on best behavior and I really enjoyed the ride.
