Fernandez

Polish Arabian Born 2000

Fernandez is responsive and willing

Canadian endurance rider Jim Mitchell partnered with Fernandez for a five day trek in the bio-reserve of Oaxaca's Cañada region.

This lovely, affectionate stallion raced 32 times at tracks in Texas and Michigan before coming to stand at Rancho Pitaya. Fernandez is a beautiful bay horse with a big bold walk, smooth trot and lovely relaxed canter; of course he still has a fifth gear but waits to be asked before shifting up.

In spring of 2011, Bobby rode  Fernandez to an easy 2nd Place win in a 60 km. endurance ride and then went on in the summer of 2012 to win 1st place and Best Condition at the 60 km. distance in Reto Oaxaca.

Bobby trained Fernandez for speed racing in Texas in the early 90's and rode him to a splendid 1st place finish in 60 km. endurance race.

Historically breeders turn to the Arabian horse to better any breed and our intention is for Fernandez’s outstanding Polish Arabian bloodlines to do just his in Mexico. His first crop of strong, handsome babies were born in 2011. Rancho Pitaya has kept his crop of 2012 foals, now strong and beautiful yearlings.

Fernandez is an excellent and well-mannered stud that mares find very attractive.
