Spirit has character in a kinda oddball Zen way.
Pure Arabian, born 2001
In the summer of 2008, Mary Jane found Spirit lazing around in a back yard in Arlington Texas. In a matter of 6 months Bobby Ortiz’s expert training had turned the Arabian’s fat into muscle & rode Spirit to a very successful finish in his first 60 km. endurance competition. He has since gone on to a 1st place & Best Condition in the Oriental Challenge 80 km ride.

Spirit is ultra-calm for a pure Arabian horse, in fact his white eyelashes make him look like he is on the verge of napping much of the time. This big , gentle, almost-white gelding doesn’t have a mean bone in his body but he does have great bone and can not only carry riders over great distances he can do so at considerable speed.
