The Minis
Our herd of 5 miniature horses came back to Oaxaca with us from Texas in January of 2009. Although all are class A mini’s measuring no more than 32 inches at the withers they are all horse!
Our young colt Little Ricky looks after his mares very well and not only has he turned out to be a good stallion but a quick-learning driving & riding horse.
Our alpha mare Velvet foaled on August 13 and her little filly Platina brought our herd up to 5. Velvet, too, excels at driving and riding.
Loosey, a sturdy buff and white paint mini, trooped through the streets of Rojas this last September 16 for the village’s independence day parade; she shows every sign of being an excellent equine therapy horse.
Snowflake - or Palomita as our group of Down’s Syndrome kids like to call her - and she is white as a dove, is a gentle mare who gives herself willingly for equine therapy.
Tootsie Roll is our two yr. old paint filly is ready to work under saddle. She loves people so we trust her job in equine therapy will be satisfying.
