Riding Tory is what I imagine it is like to drive a Maserati - all I have to do is think about shifting gears and it happens. But Tory is much more than speed; she knows dressage and gets all smart and collected when she draws a cart. She is very bright and assimilates new things easily - like walking burros hidden under bundles of corn stalks and 3-wheel mini-taxis spinning around corners.
Tory and I are still seeing just where we can go; she has enjoyed y finished top-five in both of her 50-mile endurance competitions , regularly takes us trekking from 5,000 to 10,000 feet in just a couple of hours, and within minutes of our first jumping class she was gliding over 3 ft. jumps.

Tory is from northern California where her owner was looking for a good home for her; I was just getting into endurance riding and knew I needed an Arabian horse. Somehow our stars converged and in October of 2007 I trailered Tory 3,000 miles from Grass Valley to Oaxaca.
