Spend the morning exploring on horseback  the fantastic countryside of the western slopes of the Valle de Tlacolula. Ride back to Rancho Pitaya will great memories and a healthy appetite.

With a cool drink in hand, join a hands-on cooking class in the ranch’s beautiful kitchen. We’ve created a truly do-able cooking class where excellent local cooks share authentic and easy-to-prepare Oaxacan recipes. You’ll take home recipes such as Rajas con Queso made with the local fresh cheese from the village, Rustic Guacamole , Roasted Tomatillo Salsa,  Black bean soup with avocado and tortillas, seasonal fruit coolers and Rancho Pitaya’s Famous Fresh Lime Margarita.

And best of all? You get to savor these fantastic flavors over a relaxed lunch on our spacious outdoor dining terrace.

Includes: Two hours of guided riding, informal hands-on cooking class, lunch and roundtrip transport from our city centre office.

Cost:

3,500 mexican pesos or $175. U.S. per person – no riding or cooking experience necessary.

Upgrade to Overnight Stay including lunch, dinner and breakfast: $100 U.S. per person in double occupancy or $150 for single occupancy.
